The RDWA – Rural Doctors Workforce Agency Locums & SAVES GP Inservice Program recently concluded, fulfilling its aim to support the professional development of locum and SAVES GPs who serve rural communities across South Australia. The event provides a platform for doctors to connect, share experiences, and enhance the care offered to rural residential populations. At this year’s event, Dr. Deepa Taranath had the opportunity to present on “Ophthalmic Trauma: Recognition and Management Principles,” bringing practical expertise exclusively to the attending GPs and RGs. We are thankful to RDWA for supporting Dr Deepa’s quarterly visits to Port Augusta, which ensures accessible and consistent eye care for the rural communities in the region.
