Outdoor sunlight delivers both increased brightness and a broader light spectrum than any indoor lighting system can achieve at its highest output. The average indoor lighting ranges from 100 to 1,000 lux, while outdoor daylight ranges from about 10,000 to over 100,000 lux on sunny days.
